The Oklahoma Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (OK SFPE) is proud to offer individual scholarships to students seeking a degree in the Field of Fire Safety/Fire Protection Engineering.
Fall 2023 - Scholarship Update: **(New Update November)
Application Deadline Thursday, November 2, 2023
The Oklahoma Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (OK SFPE) is proud to announce the OK SFPE 2023 Scholarships. This year OK SFPE plans to offer two individual $2,500 scholarships.
**Since FireTECH 2023 has been cancelled, the 2023 SFPE OK Scholarships will be awarded at the Joint Meeting of SFPE, ASSP and FPS at the OSU Fire Protection Lab Classroom at 5:30 on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
To be eligible for one of the two $2,500 scholarships, applicants must:
1. Be a current member of any Oklahoma based SFPE chapter (to include student chapters) as of application submittal date.
2. Be enrolled (or graduated in Summer 2023) in an Institution of Higher Education seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree in the field of Fire Safety / Fire Protection Engineering Technology / Fire Protection Engineering.
3. Author a one-page application:
a. Describe fire protection engineering related coursework.
b. Explain how this coursework has prepared the applicant for their future planned profession.
c. Include contact information and SFPE Student & Oklahoma Chapter involvement.
4. Submit transcript from Institution of Higher Education (undergraduate or graduate) demonstrating full-time enrollment or Summer 2023 graduation.
5. Attend the OSU FireTECH Conference on November 9 or 10, 2023, when the scholarships will be presented.
6. Scholarship recipients will be asked to make a two to five minute presentation summarizing their application.

Congratulations to the 2022 SFPE Oklahoma Chapter Student Scholarship recipients. Again, we had some excellent student applications and presented a $2,500.00 scholarship check to these deserving students at the OK SFPE Fall Expo and Golf Tournament in November:

The Oklahoma Chapter of the SFPE wishes you all continued success on your chosen path.
The Oklahoma Chapter will continue the tradition of presenting scholarships to deserving students based on proceeds from the Expo and Golf Tournament and other fund raising efforts.
We encourage all eligible students to apply for the 2023 scholarships, which will be announced in September and presented at the FireTECH conference in November. Eligible applications submitted but not selected in 2022 will be retained for 2023 unless a revised application is received. Details on the 2023 OK SFPE Student Scholarships will be announced following the OK SFPE meeting on September 17th.

The Oklahoma Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (OK SFPE) is proud to announce the OK SFPE 2022 Scholarship. This year OK SFPE plans to offer at least two individual $2,500 scholarships, to be announced at the 2022 OK SFPE Fall Expo and Golf Tournament at Top Golf in OKC on October 21, 2022.
