SFPE Oklahoma will have a lunch meeting that will begin with lunch at 11:30 followed by a short business meeting at noon, and an educational presentation following that.
This meeting will include a presentation from Dr. Bryan Hoskins who will discuss "Changing Demographics and Egress System Design."
This discussion will touch on how the current design methodologies for egress systems were developed (both the prescriptive requirements and calculation methods), how the population of today is different including a wider range of vulnerable populations, and the impact that this has (and potential future impact that it will have) on egress systems.
