Please join us for our September Oklahoma SFPE Chapter Meeting. This will be a lunch meeting, with lunch at 11:30 and a business meeting starting at 12:00. The meeting will take place at Johnnie’s in Edmond, 33 East 33rd Street.
We will have a presentation by Liane Ozmun, Senior Fire Protection Engineer with FSB, who will provide a presentation related to Passenger Elevators: Complying With NFPA 13, NFPA 72, and the Elevator Code.
This presentation will cover this multi-discipline subject that continues to evolve with the new developments related to the elevators themselves and the codes and standards that pertain to them.
This presentation simplifies the requirements based on elevator type and characteristics and can help designers and installers know the right equipment that should be provided and can clear up the confusion over whats needed and avoid unnecessary devices being installed that are very difficult to test or maintain, or devices being missed and failing the elevator inspection.
